Sport has recently announced that the RFEF has decided the start and end dates for the 2013-14 Liga BBVA: it will begin on the weekend of August 17th/18th and end on May 18th – this is a slightly more condensed season than usual as a result of the timing of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The Copa del Rey final will be held on April 19th, and the Supercopa de España between Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona will be held on August 21st, at the Vicente Calderón, and August 28th at Camp Nou.
